An Englishman’s home may well be his castle but in today’s world criminals from anywhere on the planet can easily get into it with a few well-chosen keystrokes.
From the US Election to Bank fraud to ransomware, the benefits of a truly digital society are steadily being blighted by a new generation of smart criminals and anonymous hackers.
To combat these attacks, electronic surveillance techniques are increasingly used by Government agencies and recent legislation has empowered the state to collect even more information about us than has ever been previously possible.
We must ask ourselves is this a good thing? How do we protect our data and technology? What about privacy?
Oxford Technology & Media is delighted to present a panel session chaired by member Stewart Benger who leads the Thames Valley Cyber Security Cluster, Laurence Haslop from encryption specialists Galaxkey , Sara Feenan co-founder of Crypto CLASS and Craig Jones from the South East Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
The session explores the questions above and recent cases.
