Oxford Technology & Media were delighted to welcome Stuart Snaith, former Director of BBC Worldwide and advisor to the John Sullivan, David Croft and Tony Hancock estates and co-founder of Nextup Comedy.

What makes a performer or a story really funny? What makes it memorable? And how can you build a career, a business and a brand from it? The UK has an extraordinarily rich tradition in comedy from before Shakespeare through PG Wodehouse, although as any comedian might remark, you don’t often see a comedian that’s rich!

Stuart leads us through an extraordinary career in comedy management, publishing and rights and help us understand what the future holds for the comic geniuses that lift our spirits and bring us joy.
