In conversation with clean air consultant Alex Bigham, Vinay will explore the development of Hexayurt, his work with Ethereum and how Mattereum addresses the excesses of human consumption and opens the door to a sustainable future.

Speaker Biographies
Vinay Gupta – CEO, Mattereum
Vinay Gupta is the founder of Mattereum, a London-based fintech company using legally enforceable smart contracts to enable the sale, lease, and transfer of physical property and other legal rights.
He is a technologist and policy analyst with a particular interest in how specific technologies can close or create new avenues for decision-makers. This interest has taken him through cryptography, energy policy, defence, security, resilience and disaster management arenas.
He is known for his work on the hexayurt, a public domain disaster relief shelter designed to be built from commonly-available materials, and with Ethereum, a distributed network designed to handle smart contracts
Alex Bigham – Principal, Alex Bigham
Alex Bigham is a strategic communications consultant who works for a range of
private and non-profit clients. He is an associate in Deloitte’s crisis and resilience
practice and provides advice to campaigning organisations including those working in sustainability and clean air. In his previous career, he worked as a special adviser to the Labour Party on education and was a councillor in south London.
